Hi! I’m Bethany—digital marketer and writer/content creator.
I started a virtual assisting business when I was 16.
Just a handful of people I knew had a Facebook account. Instagram and Pinterest hadn’t even existed, let alone Snapchat or TikTok.
I realized there was an opportunity for businesses. This was a wide-open playing field.
With the help of a mentor, my virtual assisting business, On Task VA was born.
I took on some amazing clients ranging from the health and food industries to nonprofits, hotels, and even the scrapbooking and parenting fields.

The Detailed Story…
After graduating high school one year early, I took a two-year gap year to travel around the world with my whole family.
Without any interruption to my virtual assisting business, I traveled to better understand myself, the world, and the struggles and way of life for people of all nations. And to attend intensive language classes (Spanish in Uruguay and Ecuador and Mandarin in China.)
When I got back to the US, I had the opportunity to be an intern at VaynerMedia working in their publishing division and account management.
While still serving a select number of virtual assisting clients, I decided it was time to get a college degree.
I went the online route so I could continue to learn from and be around the best in online marketing at VaynerMedia. (I became a part-timer at the company throughout my college years working in their small business division to help meet the marketing needs of businesses with under $100 million in revenue.)
I also had the opportunity to work in public relations and digital marketing at VisitBritain, the British national tourism agency based out of the British consulate in New York City.
Just before receiving my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I obtained a New York State real estate license and practiced for a few years.
I am now based in Washington DC.
