Valparaiso Chile, a port city and UNESCO world heritage site, is located west of Santiago. This was our second destination on our RTW where we stayed for 5 nights, after a week in Santiago.
Just walking the streets of Valparaiso is a tourist attraction. There are so many colorful buildings and of course the 43 cerros (Spanish for hills) that make up the city.
One of the popular cerros is Cerro Artillería, which has views of the sea and also a long funicular. When riding funiculars, we noticed that tourists and also locals used them to go up and down the hills.
