Starting the morning with seeing a geyser erupt. The geyser named Lady Knox at Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. It erupts every day at 10:15 am. It was so touristy. There were seats set up in front of the geyser and I noticed a small brown bag by the hole.
And that bag contained chemicals which they put inside the geyser at 10:15 am in order for it to erupt. So, it was a major disappointment as I thought it would be natural!
Oh well… so we went to the geothermal area where there are three paths to take. We took all three which ended up being three kilometers in total of walking in the hot New Zealand summer heat. It was very interesting though to see the colors of the boiling water.
After, another highlight was going to the thermal pools- where are several pools which contain natural water that’s kept really hot at around 38 degrees Celsius.
