Exactly 50 years ago around this day, the Beatles came to America. To celebrate and remember this event, the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center is displaying the “Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles!” exhibition. The exhibition, which will be in NYC through May 10 is worth a visit- especially if you’re a Beatles fan.
Here’s a Vine video showing the exhibition in 6 seconds:
Original tickets, photos, contracts, instruments, signed newspaper articles and clothes that were worn during the Beatles’ performances are on display and shows the impact the Beatles had when they came to America.
For me, the highlights were the merchandise that was on display that fans could purchase back in the 60s including dolls, rings, shoes and clothes. Another highlight was a room decorated like one that was typical for a teenaged Beatles fan.
The Beatles Exhibition at New York Public Library for the Performing Arts is located on 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, will be on display until May 10 and is free to visit.
