So far on our RTW, I’ve seen a McDonald’s in every destination we’ve been to. Which isn’t really a surprise. For my family, McDonald’s is kind of that last resort place to eat when on a road trip or to drive through for a quick bite. What was different in Montevideo Uruguay was the fact that people actually sat in the McDonald’s to eat.
Not only that, I’ve noticed a lot of McDonald’s also have a separate place for coffee, tea and sweets at their McCafe, which is pretty much another cafe.
I was excited to find the McCafe had alfajores!
I am on a search for the best alfajor in Uruguay and as nice as it looks, it didn’t taste that great. There was too much dough and not enough dulce de leche!
