It’s been 4 months since we left Florida for South America. And as I look into my iPhoto library, you can see all the places we’ve been to in those 4 months. (Except for the Caribbean area. That was in October and November 2012.)
As we head into a new phase of traveling, moving on to the western part of South America, I am reminded about how awesome traveling is.
1. Experiencing Cultures
We stayed in Uruguay for half of our four months in South America. That’s enough time to experience and learn a culture. One big part of their culture is mate. People hold a thermos of hot water and their cup everywhere they go. At first it seemed a little strange but towards the end of our 2 months staying there, I hardly noticed people carrying them!
Above is a picture of me trying mate for the first time in Spanish class in Uruguay.
2. Trying some good Food
There have been countless types of food I’ve tried for the first time in the 4 months we’ve been in South America and also several great dining experiences.
Above is a picture of me in Santiago Chile eating an empanada.
3. Being able to Work
While traveling, I’m still able to serve my clients.
Above is a picture of me attending a mastermind event that was occurring in Chicago while I was in Florianopolis Brazil. That’s a lot of miles away!
4. Having Fun
A big part of traveling is of course visiting landmarks and having fun. One that I was particularly excited about visiting was Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the new seven wonders of the world.
